In this workshop, you will create a textured background using fabric painting techniques. You will then build up a bold flower design with fabrics and lots of machine embroidery. There will be time in this workshop to draw your own flower if you wish (I can help you with this!).
The panel will have a quilted feel and will be trimmed with a tonal binding ready to hang on the wall.
You will need to bring your sewing machine to this workshop. Your machine must be suitable for machine embroidery with the ability to drop the feed dogs. Please contact me via phone, email, or Facebook messenger if you are unsure or need to borrow a machine. Further details can be found on the FAQ's page
Please bring a small selection of normal sewing threads in suitable colours for the design you have chosen. I do have a selection in the workshop so please don't worry about this.
Any background stencils you may have with a small design. I tend to use dots a lot but I do have other stencils.
A large paintbrush 1" minimum and a smaller detail brush.
Don't forget your lunch.
Tea and Coffee will be provided along with other treats!

There will be a hand sanitising station and the workshop will be well ventilated. Please make sure you bring a cardigan in case the room gets chilly.
Mask wearing is not compulsory and will be up to the individual.
